Chink in the Armor…

What was a¬†disappointing¬†night for Lin and the Knicks was topped off by this offensive ESPN Mobile headline. Yes, this screenshot is REAL (and yes, Lin did have nine turnovers). Forbes mentions that the “Chink in the Armor” headline has been used over 3,000 times on the site, but uh…really? UNACCEPTABLE.

As SB Nation writes: “Don’t plaster the word “chink” underneath Lin’s name on a huge national website without understanding exactly what the backlash will be. It’s not edgy or funny; it’s a ridiculously terrible mistake.”

The game in a few sentences: Too many turnovers- Lin left his feet too early on a few passes, but the Hornets also did a good job containing him in the lane. Hornets got ahead early and never looked back- NYK did make it game, but ultimately could not finish the deal. Can’t help but wonder what the outcome would have been with Melo and newly acquired JR Smith in the lineup…
